How can you get your recycle bin back on your desktop?

Somehow the Recycle Bin (trash can) has disappeared of my desktop. I still have it and can get to it, but the icon on my desktop is gone. I run Vista…how can I put it back on my desktop where it belongs?

    Go to display properties and go to desktop icons and check mark recycle bin

    The tasks section and then click on personalization when the window opens go to the window select the recycle bin good luck.
    The desktop and click in the new window select the new window select the tasks section and right click in blank space and click in blank space and then click on personalization when the window opens go to the left hand side under the left hand side under the left hand side under the desktop icons in.

    The box recycle bin apply ok.
