I accidentally deleted my icon for the recycle bin and now I can’t find the recycle bin when I got to the start button or when I go to the control panel. I have Windows Vista.

Hi,
The town I live in just published a new rubbish and recycling fee per house hold ($138), and also, they annouced that effective July 1st, only official town bags will be picked up. The ’special town bags’ go for $3.75 per 4 bags of 14Gallons. My question is: Is it legal to claim that the town will only pick up ‘town’ bags?
I think this is an extremely expensive trash removal service. What is my alternative? Can I go with my rabbish bags to the dumpster myself every week? I appreciate your inputs,
Thank you

They are leftover from the previous owner and each weighs about 200 lbs (guessing — I can’t budge them). I’ve advertised on Craigslist and Freecycle, but no one wants to come get them. Is there a company that will pick them up and either reuse or recycle? Or do I have to just take a sledge hammer to them? (We’re in the Denver area if that helps.)

Here are my thoughts on changes that everybody should make.
1. Having less kids. (world’s population is out of control)
2. Living in apartments in large urban centers. (less urban sprawl, uncontrolled growth of suburbs pushing out wildlife habitat)
3. Buying local produce as much as possible (less fuel used to transport)
4. Stop buying so much disposable stuff (water bottles, paper plates, etc..)
5. Take public transportation or walk (this is much easier when you live in a city that has good transportation available)
6. Greater use of biodiesel, and more research on alternative fuels.
7. Conserve energy.
8. Reuse and recycle.

These are some thoughts. I’m sure there are many more that people can think of. What would your changes be?
I’m not trying to say that these should be mandatory laws, but I think people should be educated that they have options. It should all be voluntary.

It doesn’t make sense for Yahoo to send people light bulbs. The cost of the shipping containers is wasteful. Now I have all that packaging to deal with, too. I hope they are sending coupons we can use at the big box store instead. Let’s not forget a part of recycling can be never accumulating the waste in the first place.

I have lots of old devices lying around with rechargeable batteries that I want to get rid of. Cell phones, laptops, cordless vacuum cleaners, etc. Everyone says not to throw these things in the garbage but I don’t know where or how to recycle them. My city only recycles plastic and aluminum. What should I do?

Well, whenever I delete a song, it never appears in the recycle bin. All it is doing is removing it from my library. Whenever I delete an app, it will ask me if I want to remove it from my library or send it to the recycle bin.

How can I sent itunes to send my music to the recycle bin whenever I click delete?

Ok so over here we already know that we should recycle materials and all, but the problem is that not everybody knows how to recycle them. so what are the places here that we can send the materials to that we want to recycle? (in Egypt-Alexandria). Also are there any organisations that accept clothes and school books as a way of charity?
